Our “Furlough” to the US

Becki and I left our home in Nanjing to travel to the birth of our sixth grandchild and first for Emili and Jon. We arrived two days prior to the delivery and in time to welcome Jack Wilder into his new home. Mom, Dad and baby are all doing well.
At the same time we had the opportunity to visit all six of the kids, spouses and grandhildren. What a wonderful homecoming!. We also shared some wonderful time with friends in Dallas, Florida and Florence, South Carolina. While Becki stayed close to the new mom, I was able to enjoy Easter celebration of the resurrection of our Savior on Useppa. Also got to visit my 94 year old father who is making a steady recovery from the flu after the New Year holiday. Stopped in Florence for the celebration of Bob and Cheri Savages’ thirtieth wedding anniversary and visited with the McLeod CVICU nurses and dear friends. We are now looking forward to our return to Nanjing and seeing our “second” family in China. We return with a fresh excitement for the work and opportunities ahead!
